Giving

Everything we do at Alive Church, St. George’s involves people giving their time and money.

Why do we give?

Being generous with our money is part of our lives as disciples. By giving money away, we give back to God what he has given to us – we give Him thanks and we say that He is even more important than money.

Giving money to our church community supports everything we do; it is the generosity of the church family that enables us to pursue our vision of seeing our community Come Alive.

How Do I Give?

You can give by cash, cheque or directly into our bank account using the reference ‘giving’.

To set up a standing order or give Alive Church, St. George’s a gift please use the following details:

Account Name: St Georges PCC
Account Number: 00030671
Sort Code: 40-52-40

Every year we ask everyone in our church to review their giving and commit again, or for the first time, even if the amount you are giving remains the same.

Gift aid

By consenting to allow us to claim Gift Aid on your Giving we are able to boost your Giving by an additional 25%, so for every £1 you give, we are able to claim back 25p from HMRC. This is of huge benefit to our church finances and is a very simple process – you give your consent and we do the rest. If you are eligible, please take a few moments to complete the Gift Aid Declaration form below.

Alternatively, you are welcome to download a pdf version of the form, which can then be posted to our Church Office, or emailed to finance@gateshead.church.

Note to Higher rate tax payers: If you pay Income Tax at the higher rate, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return if you want to receive the addition tax relief due to you.

2024 Gift Day Pledge

Thank you for giving financially to the life of Alive Church, St. George’s. You can pledge here to support our ongoing programme of work for Hope House and St George’s church building.

Your continued generosity and support make all we do as a church possible.
